    Your a Commander and you don't know? Rope is called a hauser. What what is the name of the rope with the know tied on the end of it that a seaman throws to the pier so the guys on the pier

    Trick question. It ain't rope. It's line. Mooring lines. Used to be three-strand, right-hand laid sisal-hemp. Later it was nylon braid (Samson braid). TM's were the Boatswain Mates of the sub-service.

    First hand rail. Cable is a real brass or copper cable I bought on ebay. Guys use it for there model tanks. It's called a tow cable

    All the ideas about what boat to make and what scale I should make sound interesting but bottom dollar is the Golf is the last boat molds I make. Had too many problems using the epoxy. Face it, I made 4 different boat molds in 2 years so now it is time to retire and pass the mold making torch to some of you other guys. Will have the only Golf II hold done by next week and will post pics of it.

    These "glow-in-the-dark" subs have about as much charm as a sewer pipe.

    Can I get any love for the world's first ballistic missile submarine - the Zulu V?

    Based on the German Type XXI and at 1/72, it'd be 49 inches long - perfect.
