It could very well happen! I like the concept, and with a ballast system!? Who knows! I found his files and some information on the WTC that he may have designed for the Whale! It measured out to about 22" in length, so it could be a great pool runner!

Thanks for posting up the YouTube on his build!

I do find the pectoral fins smaller and set too far back.

Interesting, I wonder why he has a bow thruster in there? That koort nozzle aft will let this thing spin on a dime already....

          I really like this, though!

Instead of a bow thruster I think the pump can be used to squirt water out the blowhole.

Wonder where's the intake for the pumpjet.

That would have been awesome, but I'm 90% sure that's a bow thruster. Looks like a standard paddlewheel style, and I can't see any outlet running to the upper hull.

Ditto on the location of the intake for the propulsion.

Maybe swap out the paddlewheel for a centrifugal type pump like those used in windshield washers.

As Bob has stated, with the kort nozzle being aft as per design and it's possibility ability to really turn well, why would you need bow thrusters?

Romel, I have been looking for a YouTube or video of the whale actually in the water doing it's thing, but I have not been able to locate it! Have you located one yet? This whale is starting to tug at me for a build!
The stern fin really printed out well and that was going to be my go a head piece for the project if it turned good!

I am holding off a little because I know Bob has some smaller type 3D printed boats that really look good for the swimming pools as well, and more to come!! I am so hooked on this hobby!!

Still waiting for the latest upload on YT.

If you look in Tiver21's YT album you'll see most of the videos showing building process and bathtub testing but very few actual deployment in the pond or pool.

                            Thanks Romel,

As soon as I get a little more ahead on my Alfa build, I will start printing out this little jewel. It really looks like a good project!

Thank you very much for all the info you have posted up on this project!! :-))

It doesn’t have a kort nozzle. The prop would be inside the shroud if it was a kort, it’s got vectored thrust and the prop is inside the hull. Doubtful you’ll get any reverse thrust with such an arrangement, so perhaps that’s why the designer has gone for a bow thruster to get out of a tight spot.
