DOA Neptune SB1 Tiger Thunder Seawolf - need some help

I managed to disassemble the boat, remove the old pump and got the new one ready. But I'm struggling following your directions on how to install the new pump. If you have any pictures of the pump as it sits in your boat that would be helpful. I don't know which direction it is facing etc. Trying to mount it vertically but there's not enough room as it bumps against the board of the servo connectors.Last edited by tifosi12; 09-16-2024, 06:19 PM. -
Well, for starters the 3D print warped. Hasn't done that in many months. I wonder whether it's the new PLA? Will try again.
Your instructions are very well done. You could sell your whole package (pump, STL files as print outs and instructions) as an upgrade kit to Neptune users. And make like...ten bucks. :)
Seriously, thanks for all the help.Leave a comment:

The Pump is from Amazon. it's pricier that Subculture's sugjestions: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
I need some time to dig up the stls.
BTW: We have the same printer and use the same PLA.Last edited by tifosi12; 09-03-2024, 12:43 PM.Leave a comment:

Actually I came across your rebuild thread before I started this one and had already downloaded your PDF. If you could share your source for the new pump, that would be helpful and any of the STL files you created and are willing to pass on (especially what's required to fix/mount the pump). Thanks.🥰 1Leave a comment:

Upon further inspection I'm pretty sure now that my pump is not working, zero movement of the bag. So I'll have to disassemble the boat. Daunting.
How do I best open those water/air supply lines for the pump and the bag? Are these white connectors disposable? Should I replace them?Leave a comment:

I rebuilt a damaged Neptune that I purchased from Drydocks in the spring of 2023. I published a refit document that includes a pump and its source. I used 3D printed parts and a smaller ESC to fit it in. You might find it useful.

I’d like to share my Neptune Project with other Neptune owners. I purchased the previously owned and dropped Neptune from the Drydocks last March. I haven’t gotten beyond bathtub trimming due to algae blooms in the local lakes and a fear of losing it. The Refurb Log is akin to watching paint dry but some might find👍 1Leave a comment:

In case one of your clients needs another one: Italian Ebay has one for sale. Has been on there for over a year, probably because nobody here ever goes on Italian ebay. It's another one in "sold as is" condition.
Speaking of radios: Are there any "conversion kits" for the Quartz plugs? I have another radio at home but the quartz doesn't fit in because the holes are further apart than the legs on the quartz. Just curious.
As for using different size crystal plugs. I did have a bunch of receivers with tiny 75mhc crystals. I didn't have any more small crystals, so i desoldered the small plugs and added standard plugs so i could use the larger 75mhz crystals.👍 1Leave a comment:

I had a few people ask for a Neptune, They didn't want to buy one off ebay as just about all sell there broken in some way, even know the sellers say they working. Also alot didnt come with radios. So they asked me to buy and fix them for them and buy 75mhz radios, as they all wanted to run them in a deep pools. Buying original Neptune electronics is all but impossible. But things can be made to work in a Neptune. to replace the broken parts
