    Trim Issues

1:96 Scale Skipjack, surface trim good, submerged trim good, however, as I turn or slow down the bow rises causing the sail to to surface, and the boat is no longer level, (bow higher then stern). Using the R&R cylinder and 2.4 Ghz antenna inside a mast above water in submerged trim. Any ideas?

If you're saying that the static trim changes, then there may be some trapped air in the hull. Dynamic changes are another matter, and it's common for a boat to lift its snout on a turn.

Yeah. What Andy said. You're chasing an internal bubble. Do a better job of venting the hull back aft. Opening up the ballast tank main vent valve positions of the kit is an ideal 'scale' method of ventilating the hull back there.

I have finished printing The Skipjack. I printed in 1:96 to accomodate my 2.5” Subdriver. I am now installing the mechanics. The Tail assembly is not yet attached as Drive shaft and Control Rods are being routed. 402AC274-6BD3-4940-9A50-296899BFAAC2.jpegDCFE51F7-6BA9-400C-B3B0-A0C99995CB92.jpeg164B7822-C31F-4EDA-9BE2

Agreed, I previously tried to vent it better, will be looking at it again.

Taking care of trapped air is always good.

As stated above, boats will tend to rise in turns.

My R10, with the raised bulbous bow, and low mounted rudders does this, and even my 212 with the X tail.
