    Dual Prop Submarines

Do the drive shafts spin in opposite directions? Are the propellers both right or left turn, or one of each?

One right tourning, one left tourning to neutralize the radial spin momentum

It also depends on what nation's boat you are doing, and the level of accuracy you wish to apply. USN 2-shaft boats turned to outboard. Port screw= counter-clockwise, Stbd screw= clockwise. Soviet's went inboard, opposite of the above. I think WWII German went that way, too, but I have been known to be wrong, on occasion!!!!

Either way that can be handled by reversing the motor rotation and switching the props from side to side-a safe bet is that all multi prop subs have left and right rotating props.(although they might be on different sides (of the boat)
