We had the weather clowns calling for 1 inch of ice here. Here’s what we got. Wish I got paid for being wrong 75%.

Of the approximately 40,000 men who served on U-boats in WWII, it is estimated that around 28,000 to 30,000 lost their lives.

I was born in California. Thank God my parents had the good sense to leave.

I am in central NJ near the coast. We had about 12 inches. 8-9 of that was snow. Then it changed to rain which we had about 3-4 inches of ice on top of the snow. The community has a crew to shovel the majority of it but I had to do some followup cleanup. I had to use a metal garden shovel to break through the top layer of ice, chop it off, then shovel it away then I could shovel the layer of snow. These pictures are today, a week later so there was some compression, but not much melting since its been below 25 the whole week. Might warm up some mid next week.

You can see the layer of ice.

This is more snow than we had in the last few years combined.
