Thank you again for posted up all this great information. I see there was a difference between the i-400 and the i-401 boat. Very interesting information.

Building the i-401 from scratch has been a real learning process for me, mostly because of the history behind the building of the actual boat. Knowing that this boat was really a last-ditch effort by the Japanese to
possibly change the outcome of the war. It's too bad the human race can't find a way to put all this inspiration and effort into bringing about piece in the world, in place of building all these killing machines! Hopeful thinking on my part I guess!!!

If I understood it correctly, the original plans of the i400 class were destroyed shortly before the arrival of the US Navy. Today's plans come from a reconstruction iuch can also deceive me is long where I had read it on the Internet. I have uploaded several pictures one shows a cad drawing there you can see the differences.

Extremely nicely modeled i-400! Must have taken you many hours to achieve such a nice model! I assume it was a kit?! And not manufactured from 3D printing!? Thanks for sharing your work!

My version of the i-401 is about as complete as it is going to be. I have a general representation of what the i-401 looked like, which was all I was looking for anyway. I am not, nor am I going to be a so called rivet counter. The aircraft that I have depicted is not the Seiran Aichi M6A1, it is a 3D printed basic Japanese Zero look-a-like. The hatch on the aircraft storage area does not open, again I just chose not to go into that kind of detail work.

I will be doing a little more overall splash on paint work to achieve the look that I am after, and then that will be it!

I want to really give Sam a REALLY BIG THANK YOU for all the photos and description work that you have put on my build blog. I thank all of you that have contributed as well!
