Yannis,
Early in this thread you mentioned being close to finishing up on a Type 214. How is that work coming along? It would be great to see a thread on this site that features your type 214.
Seeing how much work you're putting in to the exterior of the sub, I almost hate to ask about the R/C set-up. But I'd really like to know if you will adapt your work to a Merriman-Caswell SubDriver.

Really sorry for the delayed answer, only just saw your post! There is allready a thread of the 214 in this forum! All I'm doing now is retooling the thing making some corrections. It's been left aside for a while as the 209 has all my atention for the moment but I'll get back to it soon as posible!
And yes, I'd love to adapt my work on a Merriman-Caswell subdriver wich it will be fine for the 214 but for the 209 I will need something bigger in volume than the options available(I think...correct me if I'm wrong). Anyway, I'll have to finish the moulding first and meanwhile any suggestions from you experts will be more than wellcome!Comment

And here is where I stand now. All is left to be done is to mold the subsail and the deck! They are going to be molded in RTV. There is also a video with my son Angelos, my best assistant!

Yannis,
This work work doing here is pretty sweet, the detail you have put on this boat is top notch. How did your polyester molds work for you? Was there any shrinkage or warping that you noticed on your final parts?

Thank you very much Joel! The molds are just fine, no shrinking or warps! I believe that the secret with polyester is to be patient and leave it to cure properly as it takes quite a long time to polymerize. If you do this you've got no problem! I still have a set of molds wich are 15 years old and are in perfect condition!
