What is a good source of Weld-on 16 cohesive? I can only find the stuff in the blue tube, not the red tube as is shown in many posts. Finishing up on all the flood grates and other holes in the hull. Show get tap to fix stern planes today. I am sure I am going to learn a lot by building this. More pictures to follow.-US Submarine Force: Making the Navy worthwhile since 1900Comment

Check your local plastic supply and fabrication shops. They will have the stuff on hand. Useful for Acrylic, but it's thick formula makes it ideal for broad-area bonding where you don't want a too active product that will evaporate away before you can get the big hull sections in alignment.
But, wait at least 30 days after you glue up the two hull halves (bows and sterns) -- gotta give the thick solvent cement time to gas off, which will produce a concave surface on the hull pieces over the glue applied areas. Ask Mark about that nasty little surprise. Once you let it settle out, you fill the trenched areas with Bondo and block sand to proper contour.

Is there a trick to removing the bulkheads from the SAS? I see the tab on the end where it looks like you could gently pry it open but I want to make sure before I mess something up. Sorry for all the questions but I really appreciate the help you guys provideUS Submarine Force: Making the Navy worthwhile since 1900Comment

It appears to me there too much of a gap. I think I should extend the flat to make it more snug
