You're in the area. We have an invite to run our boats at the big lap pool at the Jewish Community Center on the 10th. Bring your boat along and join the party. It's right off 264 at Wichduck.

Very good. The long remembered lessons are the ones accompanied by flooding and burns. (and that's what makes me such a smart sonofa*****!)

We want to see some footage of this beast running on AND under the water! What's he hold up??

Well, if this helps ease the pain I caused you, take some comfort in this: I just spilled a substantial amount of molten solder onto my crotch this morning. Should have been rolling tape on that maneuver!

Yeah! If you had read the SAS document you would have learned that you DO NOT roll the submerged SD!

That's likely what happened: the snorkel and safety float-valves unseated when upside down, providing a straight flooding path through the induction plumbing, right into the after dry space. Dumb-ass!!

    You people!

    RTFI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't make me come over there!

Looking good, Sonar Tech! Do what Mark said about those weights. Detail where the water is coming in there with the SD -- I don't like that. Is it coming up through the top of the safety float-valve?

Really Nice looking! Is that a JR radio or a WFLY? I noticed in the first picture that your stick on lead weight is being run radially up the sides. May I suggest that you put it all directly on the keel of the boat so that you will have maximum stability, especially in the turns. If its All as low in the hull as it can go then you will have the maximum meticentric height(as Dave would say). I would peel off all the tape that comes on them and stick it down with clear silicone seal after sanding the plastic where it will go. Just a suggestion.

Finally got in pool. Still need a little adjustment. Operator forgot foam in stern so submerged trim bad, and a little water in electronic area (will check o rings and add some silicone grease) Boy throttle is touchy even at 50%. Any suggestions for clear coat. Decanted spray for paint...use tube method just could not bring myself to take a nail to the can. Have sure learned a lot building this..even if it has taken forever due to unforeseen events but in the water now and after some adjustment back in water tomorrow I hope

I will not be able to attend the Fun Run. I just noticed that it is the 16th and I unfortunately will be out of town. Had a great time there last year for the Fleet run. What a great lake and group. Looking forward to going again in the future.
