I always use a grubscrew on my props, making a flat surface on the shaft will enhance the grip of the grubscrew, to complete things you can use a end piece to cover up the shaft, using just a counternut behind the prop is asking for problems.
As a extra measure you can also use a amount of loctite on the crubscrew to secure the grubscrew better.
