All I can say is weird.

Im in the process of painting on the frame that goes around the bridge spray shield. Im taking my time with it, making sure the paint is good and dry before moving on to the next segment, one section at a time. There are three sections, i did the second one today. Hopefully the final one on Wednesday. Then all we need is to spray on some clear flat and GO SAILING!

The latest. I finally finished the frame around the spray shield. Not exactly what I envisioned, but, its doable.

Unfortunately the flat clear came out milky, so I am in the process of sanding it all down and starting again.

Today has been a good day. I actually got some paint on this thing. Pictures to follow.

Its been a while on this thing. I got her repainted with Charcoal grey and then recoated with Satin clear. It looks good even if I do say so myself. Now I need to install the LEDs in the sail and hook them up to the Sub-driver. Then a last trip to the kiddie pool for some adjustments and shell be ready for the wa wa.

Ive installed the sail and put in the LEDs. Notice if you can, that these pictures show the different colors on the sail windows. In order to try to represent the silver frame of the observation windows from the partially clear lexan windows themselves, ive used an unusual color. Champagne gold. Its very subtle. Without something to contrast with you might not notice..

Well now they look completely white, bleached out from the sun. But back in the day, from salt water and sun and depending on the angle of the sun and cloud cover.................................they would probably change every minute. Just trying to make them look transparent and to differentiate it from the silver metal frame surrounding it.

Whats the substrate? If its resin there might be some scope for stropping back the "glass" area and polishing it.

Im hooking up the LEDs to power. Ive ordered a parallel deans plug adapter to streamline the process. Then a final trim job and we will be looking for water. Ive got a week vacation coming up on the week of Thanksgiving. I plan to use it well to get caught up on some of this testing I need to do.
