Slowly coming together. Added the vent valve for the central ballast tank, the exhaust line to the Schnorchel mast and more detail in the regulating ballast tank...

Induction masts, Schnorchel, direction finder and below the control room. I also started to lay out the lower structure: drinking and waste water tanks, storage and ammo compartments and below the regulating tanks.

Finished the engine section, currently working on the control room. Radio room is done, Anschütz compass is in, rudder control is done. I'm currently working on the Snorchel and induction masts. Tedious but very interesting.

That wash really is giving that engine some depth. Keep on sir! This is such a great subject and add your detail it looks marvelous. I do hope you make this to sell or allow us to print it ourself.
    Peace,
    Tom

Designed the belt drive clutch fpr my Type XXIII based on a similar one from the Type XXI (had the drawing of latter). The main clutch and the belt drive clutch were coupled, so that one could only engage the belt drive wehn the main clutch was open. A lot of geusswork on my side involved, as there are now drawings or photos of this section. But I like it....getting busy in there.

Continued drawing.....clutch assembly. The problem is that photos depicting the interior of the Type XXIII are rare and often not quite clear. Anyway, that's what I found out. Clutch was driven by a manually operated worm gear with a detachable crank. This is my basic approximation. Details to be added....

Amazing! The only thing that will make an improvement is when you paint it!
