SEATTLE, WASHINGTON - 7 Feb. 2019 - USS JIMMY CARTER quietly slipped off her moorings this afternoon and headed out for another sea trial. Overall reports are positive. As expected, turning performance in the confines of the swimming pool was poor. The boat maintained full functionality throughout the voyage. There continues to be a small ingestion of water into the forward dry space, despite earlier work and testing to mitigate that issue. I could be wrong, but I might have just needed to whack the float valve loose before putting it in the pool. Overall, SSN-23 performed admirably. The next evolution will be to venture out into truly deep water.
Once again, I thank you all for your help and assistance with this - my first ,real, honest-to-god, start to finish sub project. It has been an incredible learning experience, and I am humbled just to be here in such esteemed company. Onward and upward. Semper Optima.
Cheers, gentlemen.
