Excellent start with the scribing. This is going to be beautiful!

Making a beginning with the scribing. It has finally occurred to me that I don't have to get this done in one pass. In fact I might not get it done in quite a few passes - but I will get it done, and done right. This is the first pass on the upper bow area. The corners of the larger hatches have to be filled and then have the final corners rescribed; the latches and hinges have to be added as well.
I also added the walkways on either side of the fin.

Morning. Concering my etchings I have contracted a person to do them. At the moment he is in Denmark but will be back soon.Leave a comment:

Hi Fredrik. Unfortunayely no, I didn't take any earlier photographs. I have to stop and remind myself to do that - constantly. How did your etching go?Leave a comment:

Hello Scott! Your plug looks great! Your building bench looks very nice too. You do not happen to have a picture of an earlier stage of your plug build? With experience from your earlier builds they are very interesting to see. WBR FredrikLeave a comment:

You're taking this old dog back to school, Scott. Damned good stuff!

Its plywood Tom. I took the dividing head off my mill and bolted it to one of the uprights. The plug is mounted on 1/8 SS rod that is clamped into the diviving head's jaws. Set the angle to "0 Deg" and everything else is easy. I'm planning to run a scale along the bottom edge to make karking off easier. At the moment I'm taking the marks off the plan and just projecting them up to the plug using a right angle set square.Leave a comment:

Thanks Mate. No speed required on the SD. Have some fun with your SWM builds instead - I think that I'm going to be working on this Beluga for a LONG time.Leave a comment:

Nice. This slippery eel will fly! Good looking jig and sound methodology, pal.
Have not forgotten your 1/96 ZULU SD. I'm in catch-up mode.
