She's right. That looks great! Now get back to work on that Victor.

Workshop lost her virginity today.
Did some experiments on weldings/panel lines on the tower. Easiest way was to scribe them, but I wanted to try something different. The scale however is always the problem.
1st attempt: use brass wire and glued it in place, leaves a terrible round profile, impossible to get writ of it by filler or any other means
2nd attempt: use fishing wire and sand it to halve its diameter, good luck with that, gave up on that one.
3rd attempt: use 0.2mm fishing wire, scribe panel lines and ley in the wire with CA. That worked out, it was still a quest to find the right way to apply the CA without making a mess (a needle worked for me). When I will aply the paint the contour will further blend in.
Pictures below show the result, used the needle to give a comparison about the dimensions of the wire used.

Bart

Rectified a design flaw for tooling, the struts in the sail to take the magnets would have kept me from removing the core, I extended the struts upwards, so they are not forming an recess anymore, hope this make sense. The extensions are the pink colored pieces of modeling board.
All is ready now for tooling

I am reluctant to tell people what I have been doing in the weekend.
Seems that, filling 0.5 scribing lines with paint by use of a needle is not a usual thing to do.
You can see the fear kick in, answering their next question “why” by telling them that else the 0.2mm louvers of the vent grating will fill up by paint to, does not really help to keep the conversation going.
Addressing scribing groves.
Close up of problem (IMO)
Aplied paint in the grooves
Preparing for tooling, modeling clay uses to seal the openings in the sail and used as a bed for the sail to sit on.

Hi gents,
If its not apropirate just remove this post.
FYI.......I made the tandemprop and escape hatch available in my shapeways shop ,link below,
Highly detailed parts for scale submarines. Because I love doing this stuff and to keep this extraordinary niche in the world of RC modeling alive.
http://scale-submarine.com/index
