Btw, may I know the size of the boxes you're using.
    thanks.
Size used W80mm x H70mm. Length for the main compartment is 180mm. Length is not critical but W & H depending on how wide the beam of the sub. In this case the beam is 104mm ID.

However, I find it's tough to get any smaller boxes than these as space within will be very constrain for any smaller sized subs.

Just wondering how waterproof these boxes are for our use? Have you tested them to say a bottom of a 9' pool? I'm asking this for I would assume they were designed to keep rainwater out at atmospheric pressure.

    Hi redboat219,

Nice to see you here too. That magnet couple system looks sweet, especially if using them for forward or sail panes. Thanks for the tip!

Hi, you may find it here: https://blog.naver.com/tiver21/221817524156

Point to note on the complete stern piece. It turned out approximately 2-3mm short facing towards the bow. Its better to modify the file before print.

    Hi Das Boot,

You can get these boxes for example here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000852737997.html

But im pretty sure you can get them cheaper in your local hardware shop, which i did for mine. Yes. a 1/96 scale boat should have enough room to fit them if they have a min 105-110mm ID beam width. i`m currently using 180 x 80 x 70 box for the engine compartment. Initially planned for direct 540size motor but changed to 380 geared for smaller footprint. These boxes will be perfect for twin screws boats like the Typhoon Papa and Oscar class submarines.

And lastly, I haven`t decided how to securely mount the boxes onto the bottom hull yet. Its either the rubber band strap down or permanently epoxied methods. Cons for the latter is you can`t add additional port holes onto the box base for upgrades in the future tho.

    Hi rwtdiver,

    Thanks for your comments.

Its camera effects which makes the 3D hull looks good and in fact not so under the human eye...

For the WTC, i found it`s much easier to work with!
