3D Kick-Off!

While we wait, this link to a tutorial I posted awhile back offers a glimpse of the workflow of direct mesh making using a 3D modeling program: The Ship Model Forum รยรยขรยรยรยรยข View topic - 3D Printed DSRV and Subsequent Makeover (shipmodels.info)

It illustrates my point about breaking a procedure into a bunch of threads. My preference is to create one continuous lesson someone can print, mark up, and work with at their own pace.

Do you have a new DSRV STL file for "Section_1_Bow" ??? It seems to be empty or corrupted. If you have replacement post / send here please? Otherwise without file it might be for not.

If mentioned file is gone forever, it may be possible to print a second stern 'Section_4_Stern' seen below. It seems the stern basic shape and thrusters are symmetrical to the bow. Then do a "San Francisco Honolulu" by simply grafting a sonar dome on the nose instead?

The link says its free download then demands my credit card number. No thanks! Is there a way to just send me just the Section_1_Bow only please? No reflection on you CC, but this Thingsverse where the DSRV are coming from is raising red flags all over the place.
