It's a GRP kit I got from Lee Upshaw's, Scale Shipyard about fifteen years ago. Don't know if they're still available.
However, the same subject, in the same scale, will soon be available as a proper styrene kit -- stay tuned, that announcement will be official in a few weeks. Caswell-Merriman already has worked up a SD for it and will have worked out an r/c conversion kit shortly after we get in a test shot.

Would you know if this model kit has internal detailing like the reactor, torpedo stations included?Make it simple, make strong, make it work!Comment

Wonder why they decided to have a nuke boat modeled in such a big scale? Not like pre-nuke boats with their cluttered decks and hull openings nukes have a rather bland appearance.

No internal detailing.

When i first saw the Skipjack's, its kind of so so, but when you take a step back, 1/72 scale is great because it's a relatively small nuke. then that big sail is gives great viz when running with the sail showing. All makes a lot of sense, make nice pairing with my Thresher, if you know what i meanNext time someone points out it takes 42 muscles to frown, point out it will only take 4 muscles to b1tch slap them if they tell you how mnay muscles you need to smile:popComment

Between $1 - $1,000,000.00
Mike will do his best, as a retailer, to secure a reasonable discount, that's all I know for sure. Don't sweat it. If pricing is too much of a problem here, then I will suggest to you that you're in the wrong hobby!
You people!

A great boat and a great video.
I am curious about the location your running in in the video. Is that a strong wind effect on the surface, or is what we are seeing the action of a swift tide?

Think European modellers will like to build it as a dry hull, and with the hull sections divided like that, it's spot on for a bayonet seal, but will the styrene hull be robust enough? Could always line it with epoxy inside I guess, or fit a tube.
That prop looks funny with the boss separate from the blades, what's the reasoning behind that?Comment
