    Air Brush & Compressor Recommendations

Hi all, I want to purchase an Airbrush and Compressor for my next builds. My needs include the ability to paint lines, low noise, reasonable maintenance, ability to paint the bodies, possibly accept two brushes. Feel free to suggest adiditional considerations. Should I consider a “Starter Set” for example.

I also would like recommendations as to what category of paint I should start with as I have no experience, and thinning concerns me.
I would appreciate recommendations, price is not a concern.

Paasche H-model, single-action and 'touch-up' gun. And a 5 CFM air-compressor with volume tank, regulator and moisture trap. Harbor Freight is your friend.

Two-part polyurethane automotive paints, and 131S Dupont gray primer for the broad work. Get this stuff at your local automotive refinishing supply house.

Water soluble acrylics for weathering and touch-up work.

Harbor Freight buys their top quality tools from the same factories that supply our competitors. We cut out the middleman and pass the savings to you!

As posted above I am diving into Airbrushing. Since my shop is in my garage and in the winter I rather not open the garage door and have no windows, should I invest in a Painting Booth? Any suggestions on ventilation needs. I will wear a good respirator mask, and I am not concerned with overspray.

Don't bother, unless you're doing a mass spray job that actually fogs the air (beware open flames like furnaces, and gas type water-heaters). Use a charcoal mask and bail to the house after cracking some windows. Regroup, and do it again till the job is done.
