The 3.5" Alfa SD might be just the job if you're after making it a static diver. Ballast tank may be a little large, but you can always tweak that a bit with foam to suit.

Here's a thought. I have this little 2" Sub-driver (goodness knows what it's for) and it's loaded with goodies like Mtroniks Speed Controller, Lipogard, Pitch Controller, Lepton 6 Receiver, 2 servos, all ready to run. The unit looks brand new.

With a little ingenuity, and some more 2" tube, this could be a winner. A double seal bulkhead could be utilized to join the tubes.

You could make the ballast bulkhead with a double seal, and add the battery compartment as a separate section.

I am not familiar with this model, so bear with me please.

I have a 19" long, single shaft old style unit. It has a 4.25" long ballast tank.

Spare 380 motor
3 servos
3 new push rod seals (not shown)
1 new shaft seal 1/8" (not shown)

There is a part of the equipment tray that has a rod attached to it. I think the idea was to mount the pitch controller in there so you could balance it. It had an old clockwork Subtek APC in there.

You won't happen to have a 2" diameter lexan tube for the Revell 1/72 Type VII in there?

What a find. Im sure that there are other goodies that you are not coming clean with. Comon.....what gives?

I went to see HWSNBN a couple of days ago and spent a day in The Cave looking at all those goodies, and then peeped into the back shed (few have entered this Aladdin's Cave) where David pointed out a pile of tubes he wanted to get rid of. He's short of space.

So they went straight into the back of my car and I said I'd sort them out and offer them on the web. I may put some Sub-drivers on Ebay too.

As you can see from the photo, there are several Sub-drivers in various stages of disrepair. I am going to find end caps etc and make each unit as complete as possible.

If you just want a cylinder, then give me some dimensions and I'll try and sort one out for you, and will cost about $10 each. I'm thinking that complete units will run around $150 -200 depending on whats in them. I'll throw spare motors in free too. (We have lots!)



I'll blow the dust off this stuff and gradually work through each good unit, then post more details, but if you see anything that takes your fancy now, just ask.
