OVER 20 ARTR and hull-only subs of rare and unique boats!

Well, they finally arrived! My shipment of subs from Australia is here and Jason and I unpacked over the last couple of days.

All I can say is... WOW! These are museum-quality boats, many with full cylinder setup and others ready to drop in your existing cylinder. Not only that, but these are exceptionally unique models, many of which don't currently or never have had kits produced for them.

Move fast! These WILL NOT LAST!

Ready to Run (RTR) and Almost Ready to Run (ARTR) remote control submarines from the Nautilus Drydocks.

Any chance there will ever be a NOVEMBER kit available based on the moulds of that specific modeller? Just curious, since i know with fully understanding about the background of the giving-away of those models, as i will not be given the hull copy anymore the he wanted to provide.

Thankful for any further information on that matter.

      Jorg,

I, for one, will not be doing a kit of November. The fact of the matter is, if it's not a Skipjack, Type VII or Alfa, it won't sell in enough volume to make the investment of hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars worth it. 3D printing will change that. I could see putting together a 3D printed kit, but not a hard shell version.

If and when global interest in this hobby grows, more unique kits will come into play as the volumes start to make sense. Until then....

        Thank you, Bob.

Specifically i thought he sold the molds as well. You do not happen to know what became of those? I know Mr.Merriman made the patterns for the planes/sail/props.

I currently have Scott's NOVEMBER patterns (masters) and test shot. His work was excellent; and Scott took on the most wonderful subjects in this game. It's taken about two months to get the house and other affairs in order. And right now I'm busy clearing the table of obligations (work for Bob and a few others I started before 'retirement'). Once my obligations are out of the way I'll address my bucket-list --- while I'm still equipped with a good set of hands and mind.

If there is any gas left in the tank after all that (about a eight year period), I might dig out Scott's work and develop into kits... IF there is any significant interest out there.

As Bob has pointed out in his own, more diplomatic, way: One customer does not a market make.

            Bob,
            Did Scott quit the game?

Dave switch over to making skimmers like I am. Much cheaper to make plus if a sub gets in my way I can order up flank speed and ram it or drop depth charges on it. LOL

As far as I know.. yes. He said that it was just getting too hard to keep up with the needs of the boats at his age. What an amazing builder....

                  Hello all,

Scott used to live quite close to me just down the highway north of Sydney. He has now moved to the bottom end of Sydney (kind of) and I haven't seen him in a long time. His models are superb and he has been soo generous. That big bit of Renshape he gave me still keeps giving. I am saddened that he is no longer in the game. I loved his unique choices, between us we nearly had the whole soviet navy wrapped up.

Scott, if you're there, drop me a line....
