    How do you seal the connector from water ingress?

      Didn't you put 2 brushed motors in the wet with your 1/96 Type XXI? Duh!

        3 Bolt studs through the bulkhead, receiver end in the dry, cut cable, make connection to the servo-end of the cable in the wet, seal with silicone.

        Nothing new....

          electric motors are dumb simple and robust. Servos are smart and picky.
