Idea I have for diving plane control horn for 1/72 Type IX. Copied from David's cast fittings kit.

A 3/32" square brass tubing soldered to the end of the control arm accepts a telescoping 1/16" square tube. Dive planes will be RTVed onto the 1/16" tube.
this permits installation even if the skeg is already glued together.

or you could go external control horn.

I don't know if this is applicable to the Arkmodel kit as it's already designed to be RC sometimes if not always you need to grind out the skeg to fit in the control arm. This is what I did to my Moebius Seaview skeg. I was to lazy to bring my rotary tool out so I improvized one. I was actually thinking of this!
I just have to pick up some telescoping tubing.
I though I had some readily available, but I was wrong!

The original Filipino language did not have the letter C, F, Q, V, X, and Z. So we would pronounce F as a P
              Frank would be Prank.

same the Japanese pronounce anything with "L" as "R".

              reminds of this joke ;-)
A visiting dignitary from Japan said, "You know your country very rucky. You have president who robs you and vice president who robs you more."

David, I think you got your L's and R's reversed in the japanese saying. In my time living with my Japanese friends in Nagoya, we spent several hours driving down to Tokyo trying to get Hiroshi to pronounce the letter R but to no avail!!
