Yeah, but if your SD comes with a SAS you'll get more than enough air to blow out the ballast tank.

Someone in Taiwan already has their's
RC Groups - the most active Radio Control model community: electric and fuel rc airplanes,rc helis,rc boats and rc cars. Features discussion forums, blogs, videos and classifieds.

3 inch wide hull. Enough space for a 2.5" SD.

David how about an over and under setup, regular SD unit in the top half and a separate battery cylinder in the lower hull just like a real 23.

Yeah, that's a problem. Break out the surface-gauge mounted moto-tool.

the Type-23 is easier to convert: Single screw; less stuff on deck to break off, etc.

What? Do them both! In March, buy the Bronco kit and build it in 9 months. Then you will be ready for the Revell kit in November. :-)

Wonder if this would be a better conversion project than the upcoming 1/72 Type IX from Revell.

this hobby shop has it listed for about $103 (not including shipping) and a March release..... Maybe optimistic on the release date.

Sorry, Manfred -- that'll teach me not sneeze into the monitor when I have your page up. Wonderful looking stuff about the Bronco Type-23. Can't wait. Thanks for sharing. Drink a lot (of water), stay warm, and get plenty of rest -- you're one of the last of the breed, pal.

Snirf, snirf, i'm i'll, got the flu, somehow David found a way to infect me electronically, one of advantage things is, i've got time to roam the net, and found something more about the XXIII, it's looking promising.

Thanks for the welcome guys! And thanks, David, for letting me register on your forum. Even though you don't know who the hell I am and why I am breathing your air (Yes, I've seen your tee shirt).

I guess 2013 might be the year of the injection molded Wolf Pack!

The VacBoots your referring to must be Mr. Gerza's. He has a 1:35 XXIII also.

Which boat hull, in your expert opinion, would hold up the best for RC use, this vacuform or the injected BRONCO? Oto states wall thickness of his models as 1.2mm, 1.5mm and 2mm. It is not clear if his XXIII is 1.5mm or 2.0mm. He states both dimensions on his site for the wall thickness. I'll have to measure my 32nd P., as I don't remember how thick it is. Oto really gets good detail out of his vacuform kits when he builds them! Look at the commander and first watch officer action, scope, torpedoes.. He is a wizard himself..
