What's the correct Badger Propel alternative and where can I buy it?

    Gents,
The Propel supply in southern New England is gone, and it's looking like Badger doesn't sell the gas anymore. What do we use that's safe for our boats? Do we need to make up new charging rigs? Is it time to retire a couple more boats???

    Take care,

    Bill

Is there something special about the airbrush propellant? If it’s just a from of lpg, e.g, butane and/or propane then a bottle of calor gas or refills for camping gas coolers should suffice?

Difluoroethane (R-152a) is a gas that tends to be listed as used for airbrush and aerosol propellant. It’s is mildly flammable, but butane and propane are highly flammable.

Well I guess from his post he wants this for a boat equipped with gas based ballast system, fitting anything other than low pressure diaphragm style compressor to evacuate the tank would require considerable alterations.
