Duster Can "air" to blow ballast tank - any good?

Any knowledge out there regarding the canned compressed air, dusters etc to fill rc sub gas pressure vessels?
Bob told me how to get a duster can to Schrader valve adapter built via his note in "Favorite Products" .. but wondering how well does the duster can gas work?
It is as effective as propel?
A can of this stuff is significantly cheaper than a can of propel.
I thought i read something on this site ... but my searches are not turning up anything.
