    Hobbies keeping you from hobbies

Kept trying to get at sub stuff this weekend...since I had a 4-day weekend, and other hobbies sucked all the time up. Had to re-build a turntable (Technics SL-1700 Mk2) and then cars that have been waiting maintenance all damn summer (too damn hot) have a list of crap to do. Got one car done, but have a leaky diaphragm on a fuel pump and got to replace that...next weekend. I did get all the dings and paint issues completed on the Nautilus earlier this week. I just have to re-paint the screw when it gets back from Merriman (he's making a new blade for the one that came off). Click image for larger version

    Pussy!

    You got too many toys!

(What about the Fleet-Run? Got a room with two beds, and I can only use one of 'em -- Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, pal -- and a bunch of boats to play with).

Working on shooting two WW2 movies with reenactors. Keeps me from RC subs all year round. At least one of the movies will be about a US Gato class sub, so there's that connection.

Hopefully next year I'll be back at the R/C sub hobby.

I spent all day cleaning the garage, moving a new freezer into the laundry room, going to the dump. Then Walmart to get my camping supplies, and finally crashing with a glass of Hennessy.

                Right now it's:

Brushing down and cleaning the pool.
                Doing my laundry.
Cleaning my hobby room ( vacuuming up the nuts and bolts that I can not find)

I have only seen the trailers for it. I did find it on YouTube, so I will be sure and watch it. My robot will be kind!

                      Right up my reenactor alley.

I drove those Jeeps a lot in my Army days. Not much fun in the winter, the "doors" don't really close. ;)

Things around the house, usually assigned by my lovely significant other, Carol.

                        Two very important things.

And boating, with a real 30 foot boat.

Where did you find that gem? That would be great for camping.

Purchased and restored in Southern California. Came back from Europe in 1951. I lived as a farm vehicle for a number of years.
