This picture seems to be taken inside Cartagena harbour, where Spanish Navy submarines have their base. I think so because I recognize the place inthe background.

Heres another one from Joels Facebook page. I have never seen a chain saw used to cut Ice before but it looks like it works. But my question is WHY?

They cut the ice away to allow for access to one of the hatches. It's a good couple of feet thick. I think I posted the video for them in action cutting that ice on my page, but it can be found on Youtube as well if you search for Connecticut ICEX. I like it because it shows the top of the hatch in great detail...something not often seen!
