Maybe its a false one to throw you off the trail. And the little white boxes.......those are "Hide-a-keys" in case they lose the keys to the submarine when they are at the bar. HA!.....LOL

I'm surprised they didn't cover the vortex attenuator on the Dolphin.

What are those additional appendages/fin in the tail for?

Im posting this picture for Mike Caswell. It is the Dolfijn, a submarine in foreign service. It was a British T class named HMS Taurus, if I have my facts straight. The picture is kinda small so I am also posting a few others, some of which are a bit bigger.

Too many Chiefs and no Indians at "Colors" OOps! those Chief's covers for the EMs in the 70s were a dumb idea. Especially on a sub where you get a cigar box to put your seabag in. My son was issued one in 08, and wore it once for a picture. They went back to dixie cups and Cracker Jacks right after he got out of boot. Now the pants all have the 13 buttons again. 'cept there fake, with a zipper like the old Seafarrers from the Big "O" (now if all of that mumbo jumbo navy speek doesnt make any sence, to some of Yall. you need to take a cold shower with a box of Morton's salt, instead of soap.)

Thars a Kobben class. built in Norway sold to the Polish Navy. Germany is somewhere between Poland and Narvik, and it was transferred by rail, so it may have passed thru Germany. Big clue is the Polih flag and royal crest on the tower. Copied from the German type 205/207 varient diesel electric U boat
