    Hallo everybody!
Progres is really slow due to other obligations but getting there! Finished with the WTC and passed the test for water tightness so I've started putting in all the bits and pieces. Also I've installed the prop shaft and prop and works really smooth and nicely!

Just finished with the bow planes busines!!! Needs minor adjustments and will be great. The mechanism is based on the plans of the real thing. Here is a video!

        very impressive work.
I am wondering what the small motor in the 4th and 5th photo is for?

          Hi John
Thanks for the coment!!! The motor is the gear pump for the trim tank, just took the plastic cover off to save me some space!
          Regards Yannis

            Excellent - thanks
I just keep looking at the details (in and out). A very fine model.

              Hi everyone
Solved the stability problem and started triming the beast!!! It's going to need about another six pounds of lead ballast to stand on the correct water line and then I'll try the main ballast tank and see how she behaves. I want her with full main tank just the top of the sail to be out of the water! See how it goes! I also tried all the systems and all work fine!

I agree, a very sweet project, Yannis :).So here is the question: what is the theory behind how those funky yin and yang bow planes work? They look like they would make the boat corkscrew through the water. Very curious, am I

Joel, they work one at the time, the starboard one is for surfacing and the port one for diving! They work fine on the real one but to be honest I don't know how they'll work on the model. That is something that I'll find out pretty soon! I know it's been done before so they should work( I hope). Stay tuned!

Some diving trials and everything works as it should! She stands now on the correct water line, only needs some fine triming but I can't do that in this pool as it's not deep enough! I'll take her to the pool I usualy sail on Sunday to sort out all that! Here is some photos and videos!

Some more fine tuning today and I think I'm getting there! She still seats a bit high in the water but it's going to be OK when I add the periscope mechanism! Here is some photos and a video!

Looking very good. I like the way it sits in the water. Keep the photos coming.

                        Cheers Chris
