Finally have some time to get back to my Skipjack and with my usual ham fisted ways I broke the dog-bone for the sailplanes. Anyone have a extra they would sell?

Dog-bone? Identify the part and I'll send it to you, I'll need your mailing address.

In the water for the 1st Time The good. SAS is watertight. Will not submerge fully in the bow/sail area. I have the foam buoyancy /weight kit installed and I am not sure if it is the foam up forward or possibly air getting trapped in sail. A little stern heavy on surface, not bad however. Just like everyone else's from what I have read. But no water in the SAS and everything works...need to fix sailplane adjustment. Bathtub is on small size but should be warm enough to open pool soon. also slight list to port but that could just be battery moving around. Happy no water in electronics. Will try adding a hole or two in top of sail and see if that does not fix submerging problem if not the I guess I will remove a little of the foam forward

To fix the ass-end-down surfaced condition, move forward foam above the designed waterline -- that will pull the bow down and the ass-end will come up. Open up the bridge clam-shells, that will vent the sail!

How's the submerged trim? Level? How much of the sail sticking out of the water (I recommend 1-2"). You using 2.4gHz or 75mHz gear?

Please! ... tell me you did a leak test of the SD before installing it into the hull!

            Secure that battery!

            Pictures, ******!... pictures!

Did not get to submerged trim due to it would not submerge. Yes I leaked checked Just tried to call to see if you were home and up for a visit. No pictures due to short time in tub. Using 75 MHz gear.

I get a lot of "jitter: in my stern planes, Could this be from interference? If not what can I do to minimize this.

I assume you have the ADF2 angle-keeper circuit in the stern plane loop. If it only jitters when you cycle an adjacent servo, or run the motor, you're good -- just vibration response. It damps out once the model is in the water. However, if it jitters with no mechanicals in operation aboard the SD, then you got a problem.

How come this beast is not in the water yet? What's the frig'n hold up?

Working on trim. 1st picture is trying to submerge. All bubbles removed, no trapped air that I can determine. ( I have the weight and foam kit installed) The final 2 are after adding weight and moving them around to level the boat. I need a deeper trimming tank as the rudder in very close to the bottom., seems like a lot of weight ,but whatever it takes. Like coming out of the shipyard and not having enough lead weight in the aux tanks. Should I try to trim a little deeper?

Nope. That's perfect submerged trim. Now stick all that lead and foam into the hull and move foam vertically till the boat assumes proper surfaced trim with the ballast tank dry.

I will not be able to attend the Fun Run. I just noticed that it is the 16th and I unfortunately will be out of town. Had a great time there last year for the Fleet run. What a great lake and group. Looking forward to going again in the future.

Finally got in pool. Still need a little adjustment. Operator forgot foam in stern so submerged trim bad, and a little water in electronic area (will check o rings and add some silicone grease) Boy throttle is touchy even at 50%. Any suggestions for clear coat. Decanted spray for paint...use tube method just could not bring myself to take a nail to the can. Have sure learned a lot building this..even if it has taken forever due to unforeseen events but in the water now and after some adjustment back in water tomorrow I hope
