The KILO is so small as to give the new-guy fits and employs a gas-type ballast sub-system. The big Type-23 is harder to assemble than the SKIPJACK, but otherwise a fine boat. The SKIPJACK is an easy to assemble kit and turns into a fast, maneuverable, and handsome r/c submarine.

That said, know that I'm biased toward the SKIPJACK so am not an unbiased source here.

Then build the Bronco. You have enough skills to get it done. Like I said before the toughest part was the hull separation. I skipped the hull split on the Gato, but needed to finally submit for the Bronco. It was a messed up job I did and took a lot longer to fix than the rest of the build (at least that is the way it felt while I was sanding and sanding and....you get the idea) That being said, I like the WWII subs better than those smooth nuclear subs (which I am told with training, I'll be able to tell the differences) So far I can pick out Skipjack class.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Got the 23 because the Skipjack ( both Revell and Moebius) was more expensive...

That's fair enough, but not your first sub right?
Next time someone points out it takes 42 muscles to frown, point out it will only take 4 muscles to b1tch slap them if they tell you how mnay muscles you need to smile:pop

Why, no, no it's not Romel's first sub. He has a yet to be finished 1/144 KILO.

How's the KILO going, pal? When are you going to put something into the water. You've been a Bride's-Maid long enough.

Perhaps he's got stuck. Have you?

                    No, I haven't gotten stuck.
It's just that different priorities popped up the last couple of years that has put my build on hold.

                    Thanks for the offer.

Start with only one, maybe two tubes. Cheaper that way. You want to get crazy later, opt for more launchers.
