I also was wondering about using the brass photo-etched parts on a RC SeaView and proper center of gravity. How much added upper hull weight is that brass kit edition? Would it be ok to put it on the RC Conversion? Any thoughs on that on Mr Merriman? Thanks.

The extra weight is minimal, nothing that can't be negated (stability wise) with a bit more fixed weight and foam. But make sure you adhere them with a flexible adhesive as there is a big differential of thermal expansion between brass and polystyrene -- and our r/c subs do encounter quick changes in temperature.

I notice that the ParaGrafix is the one I have found. I do not see one that Mike Caswell has produced. Is that correct?

Having taken up model building again, I am going to be making a mistake or two...having several to build will allow me to have some experience with a display model first. I would like two RC for sure and two display.....by the end of it all I should be damn good at this model.

How are those fixed vanes coming?

I have decided that I would like to build four.
So I need two more. I can order those from Mike along with the RC Conversion.

I have taken to practice with my Dremel for model work in general, I am starting to build minature log cabins with the Dremel. I built a PL Seaview last week then I realized last night I should have put LEDs in it.

Nice work shop Mr Merriman.
I have to order the DVD series now!
The Sub-Driver and extras after that.
On a pension, one item at a time. Or until I sell the motorcycle....
Putting my son through college too, other wise I would have bought two sub drivers already.

Watching the DVD series will give me good ideas. Kind of go through it in my head a few times.
I can make that practice jig for the front bow planes.
Get my cutting skills up to par. Make sure I have the hobby equipment I need to make this work.
How about those fixed vanes...did Caswell get them? LOL>
