Hi Mr Merriman, things are going swimmingly...I have gotten pretty smooth with my efforts at practicing with my Drill Press. Turns out that my Dremel did not fit the Drill Press, but my Brothers did. Also turns out that my Dremel is variable speed (brain injury-DOOH). I had it for seven years but just got into the hobby. I had it hanging up from the ceiling, but was not using it. When I took it down to try the flex shaft on my brothers, I burst myself laughing. Its good for 5000 to 35000 rpm. So I have two variable speed units, lots of bits, wheels, etc.

I have a real clear idea of what to do. I have seen several good threads on your build by various people that followed your work to the letter. Dispite the fact I will not have the fittings and DVD's for about two weeks (waiting for my paypal transfer to clear), can I start opening up the apperature for the Sail, Nicelles, Nose Light, Vents, unless there is something I should know first about these openings.

I was mainly using the pics from your cabels and this thread to go by the size and placement of the openings. Looks like good work.

What do you think Mr Merriman? Am I good to go on these issues without the DVD, just going by the cabels and this thread for guidance. I am sure you will kick my behind and tell me what am I waiting for, go build, but I just do not want to screw it up, so with your official okydokie, I will cut this stuff tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I am working on the control room. I got paint and stuff today. I see that you used just the forward section so that you could use the camara. I doubt I will be doing that and was wondering is it advisable to put the entire control room in the RC unit, or should I not do that, dispite the fact I will not be getting the camara?

Also thinking of having the windows removeable and no control room....deviation from the norm...LOL.

PS, having a blast with the new tools and hands on....Thanks.
        Dean

I might just keep the Control Room as one piece for display.
I got fiber optics from the dollar store....and I will make a functional computer wall.

Here is a shot of a computer wall in progress that gave me the idea.
Got to love the dollar store.

A nice idea for overhead lighting with LEDs and the circuit board.

Its my birthday this month. My dad is giving me $250 towards the Sub-Driver...how cool is that?
                :p

I went to order the Fittings Kit today....$2 short, due to constant fluctuating conversion rate.
Now I have to wait another 6-8 days....DOOH!

Checking in with Mike to make sure the Sub Drivers are still $365 in kit form (which is $470 Canadian)....as the web page does not reflect that price, but if thats still correct, I should have enough to make that a go too.
                  I'll drink to THAT!

I got a dollar store tea light and with a dremel on its battery base and the casing was installed a perfect fit, the LED fit in perfect with no alterations.

Looks like I have purchased a 80% completed Seaview Snort system by STINGFLY.

I also have a Seaview missing in action from the mail system. Paypal on that one so full coverage is coming, just going through the motions.

So, I'm a little confused. Does that mean that Stringfly decided to not finish his Seaview? Does he have a website where we can see any further work he did on it? His work is beautiful and instructional. I'd like to see more of it if possible.
                                Hope is a harsh mistress!
