My son would LOVE that for a working sub.....Hmmmm? I wonder if I will get a Christmas bonus, last year Mr. Caswell took all my money :-) (actually he was very kind and generous).
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Well I have had some thoughts on RC ing it, I think a seperate build thread of the kit may be in order. Im sure Mrs RCnut will oblige......Yep she says she will lol.

OK, first question: how did she do the 'face' of the fish, a texture pad? And if so, what's the substrate?

She made the face the same way I did the stingray, ribs with filler (Sounds like a take away dish) then she put a round bit into the dremal and hit the face randomly creating the dimples. After "work" im going home and will put the face under rubber and then she can start her build thread soon after.

I thought either sculpted in clay, or it was covered in a textured wallpaper- the type of stuff sometimes used to cover rough walls.

To R/C this beast, my first instincts would be to put a pair of thrusters hidden behind those flared gills. Make them azimuth to provide control over pitch, and you can work them independently to effect steering. For reverse, the thrust could be directed out through the mouth of the fish. If you want to make the tail swish about, that adds a little more complexity.

                    No, no you are not.
My mom has a charm bracelet that I remember as a kid that had a fish charm on it. The fish is articulated and I think it would be a easy (laughing as I type this) to make Terror fish do that. The tail does not need to be used to turn (although it certainly could be used), the pectoral fins could be pushed out (like an oar) to facilitate a turn. Pardon me while I type a free flow of thoughts..... Diving would use the pectoral fins or the mouth opening to push the fish down. Surfacing I wonder if arching the back would work, for that matter maybe even diving especially since the head will have the propulsion. Hmmmmmm. I love the thought of the terror fish cruising around.

How about a SUPERCAR next? That would be cool as hell.

Supercar huh! Funny that, I just watched the very first episode about an hour ago again and thought about it. The only thing putting me off was the canopy but now I can use the services of Capt Sci fi that wouldnt be a problem. Who knows Stingray finished first I think.

I barely remember Stingray but I do remember Supercar and Fireball XL-5. I have both in diecast. The Stingray is pretty neat though.

I'm finishing the STINGRAY SD's and will get them off next week -- thanks for being patient with me, guys. And the PJ is on order so I'll be addressing the de-watering plumbing soon.

SUPERCAR. Deal me in! Clear-view on.

I'd buy a Supercar in a heartbeat. The only problem is a subdriver for the thing. It's awfully thin body wise.
