You're getting there Ken, splitting the hull makes live easier for tinkering on al moving parts which normally are difficult to reach, i have the same advantage with mine, good to see you have the same advantage.

While we are figuring out the receiver issue...

Aft dive planes and prop shaft
For the prop shaft, cut a Dumas coupler in half and inserted in an aluminum tube. Holes were drilled through the tube and coupler and a brass pin was inserted.

Much easier to do this when the hull parts were taken apart.

The rudder and dive plane push rods were fashioned and the magnetic couples were added.

A 3/32 brass rod was used to hold the arm in place while making up the push rod.

Fortunately I had different color matching click ons which were used for each push rod.

    Reassembled the hull sections.

Looks good at this point. The push rods were created with the servos at the neutral position. Will have to see how this works when we have the 75Mhz receiver installed. I can also try it out with the 2.4Ghz receiver.

    Left to do before Groton...
Get Sub driver stuffed and tested
Hold downs for main deck and rudder cover
Get the sail on in some manner
If time, get some detail on the deck and sail
    Install weights
    Install foam
Trim the boat in the test tank (bath tub)
And whatever else I can think of

    DONE
Linkage SD to prop dive shaft
    Make linkages to dive planes

Have to get this asap. Have to tub test the Marlin and Skipjack and this Bronco for Groton. Yeah, CRUNCH TIME!

Because I do things! Lots of things I've seen you do. And I'd say I do it well. Yeah you too. We both can be teacher and student.

    Not really. Maybe sometimes.
    LOL.

Yes to all of the above.

Or, I can send you a complete r/c system, already checked out -- transmitter and receiver. I can have that package off to you the same day I get your concurrence.

Would they be PPM or PWM? I presume my older 75Mhz Hitec is only PWM. And it cannot be changed. If I had the Shadow Programmer like Manfred mentioned could the receivers be changed to PWM? Could not find the Shadow Programmer for sale anywhere (eBay)

EDIT: I'm apparently wrong, the transmitter specs are PPM.

I believe all those receivers have the PPM modulation protocol. Insure your transmitter is PPM modulated as well.

I looked to see if I could find the programmer. No luck on that. I would like to have one to get it working. And just to have it on hand.

Hmm, it should work the way you tried it, there is another solution, but you have to got a shadow programmer, i had the same problem, by using the programmer i could choose the channel from rhe Wyfly.

Did you put the bridgeplug on channel 8?

I guess this is for David.

I added a wire to extend the antennae to the Sombra SL-8 and connected a servo. Turned on the transmitter, then the receiver with the plug. Waited a minute or more for the receiver to sync to the transmitter. No luck when I move the transmitter channel. No response at all.

Did the same with the Seeker6. Pressed the button and applied power to the receiver. Nothing.

    What should I try now?

Gotcha, thanks David. I will not be using those. At least for now, may make some other type in the future.

On Tuesday I'll post about the synthesizer receivers you sent me.
