    If you used thin brass rods I think the Dremel will be able to cut it before you reach the plastic's melting point. If you want you could immerse the part in water, the water will act as a heat sink.

    Using the dremel may generate too much heat and melt the plastic. May be a hand saw?

    Suggestions on how I should cut off excess stern planes rod? Should I use dremel cutting wheel, Snips, jewellers hand saw? I am afraid to blow out the interior mechanics!

    Needed to pull the upper hull port side in a bit so created a tab. Also the upper hull port side was warped a tiny amount so clamped hull on a flat board where no light passed thru between the hull seam and the board, carefully appplied heat with a heat gun. Now it is no longer warped.

    Dive Planes control rod. Elected to have magnett connection under removable sail to ensure ease of connection. It turns out that it connects automatically when joining the hulls for Sub operations.

    After input provided on using square rods for the planes I decided to flatten my Dive Planes Rod for better fit and adhesion
