Hi Gents, I'm back
Sorry for the AFK/MIA but I had to adress some personal issues
He Who Shall Not Be Named HardRock I have sent an e-mail.
Continued since last monday on the VCTOR III and started to work on scott's BELUGA.
Cut off the excess and sanded the parting lines on the hull halves, they match perfect good Job scott
Filling the pinholes with putty at the moment.....think I will finish it today.
Tomorrow I will post the progress on the VICTOR III
Grtz, Bart
Parting line.....easy life.....just sanded it down to the transition line gelcoat-cloth
Filling the pinholes....some done......others discovered and marked with pencil.
When sanding all the scribing Scott did pop out clearly, amazing how much detail there is.
Adressing the tail piece that came along.....well done.....will make life easy assembling this beauty.....darn I love this sub already.....this will be my daily driver for sure.

I designed the bow piece with the torpedo tubes as a separate section. This way I had a stable & rigid platform with a very low profile.
My first thought was to fabricate some plugs that go into the tube holes, 0.5mm smaller in diameter, so I will obtain a scribing effect. But looking at them now I think they look awesome without. For the potential assembler is would be nice that he could chose, leave them open or put the plugs in.
However, the later will mean that I have to integrate them when I layup the bow with fiberglass, probably I can only pull that off is by using chopped glass fibre.
Grtz,
Bart

No, altough I used some machines, it’s handcrafted Tom, I will explain why:- First, I used a 3D printer, capable of printing Polyurethane foam up to 0.05 mm.
- Next step I use a CNC router to get lost of the printing lines
- To face off the pieces I used a CNC lathe
- The final operation was to sand the whole thing down with 1500 grid sanding paper.
As you will understand I’m leaving this forum for what it is for the next couple of weeks ……please sent me a PM when the unleashed dragon is calmed down.
Grtz,
Bart

The business end......I nailed the shape me think.
Comparison with my AKAULA master....that VICTOR is so much more organic in shape I just love it.
