    NEPTUNE Project

Watched Bob's video this morning and was pleasantly surprised by the clever use of zip-ties as structural ribs on the outer hull plating, at the panel seams. An excellent example of making what you got work as something you want to be something else!!! BZ, Bob and Logan!!

    Welll. not so fast!

Those nylon plastic ties don't adhere worth snot, even with roughing up the back sides. I had to screw them down, which looked really good (like rivets!). We were just lazy. Probably should have used styrene strips....

Still came out looking good! True, not much likes to stick to Nylon!! Life hack: Replace your big bag of zip-ties somewhere before they get to be about 20 years old. They go shelf-rotten and will fall apart when you try to use them!!! (Recent Xmas decoration experience!)
