The Hermes from WW2. Note the droop of the Deck. Either sagging from a structural failure or designed to help flyers from tripping over the edge. I would think that it would create additional problems for the flyer.

I think the droop is to give them a better chance on landing, the fact that modern carriers don't have this feature might be a signNext time someone points out it takes 42 muscles to frown, point out it will only take 4 muscles to b1tch slap them if they tell you how mnay muscles you need to smile:popComment
