Suggested Dive Tribe topic for David M

During the last dive tribe zoom meeting David was asking if there were any particular topics people had an interest in. I would like to share a topic of interest to a newbie (albeit I know many of the people on the dive tribe zoom are highly experienced). The topic would be: a systematic approach to ballasting / Balancing a new submarine model - and if sufficiently related, the pros and cons of twin tank WTC’s in RC subs. I see the topic as describing weight placement, proper use of foam on the upper hull, And any factors that relate to how a wet hull takes on water. Thank you.

This Saturday I'll give a lecture on storage-transportation boxes, and how to make them. Already have clearance for that one. Up to Bob to dictate my next talk, subject and date. Here are some teasers of the suggested 'trimming your submarine' presentation.

How about battery connectors like XT, Deans JST, Tamiya etc.?

          Good one.

How about this: Submit these topic suggestions to Bob. It's his Zoom meeting and he does the scheduling of what is present and when.

Be ever mindful that I'm one of the guy's here, just like the rest of you... only difference is: I'm smarter, more talented, and better looking than the rest of you troglodytes.

And, he exemplifies the 4th, 5th, and 6th point of the Scout Law, Friendly, Courteous, and Kind!

Seriously, I've seen him be all three, just never at the same time.

And humble... don't forget you're more humble.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

Gravity acts on the mass/density of items in your boat, buoyancy acts on the volume related to the specific mass of water displaced by the items. The two need to be aligned to have a level trim. Then there is the centre of pressure which affects the handling of the craft alongside the distribution of mass within the boat, much in the way the location of an engine in a car affects the way it handles e.g. rear, mid or front engine.
