Opinions regarding using this material for dive module bulkheads? I would use 1" thickness.

1" thickness? What are you building? I can see the end caps being that thick, but bulkheads are not needing to be that strong in most cases.
As far as material, resin, plastic, metal, fiberglass, and many 3D printed materials are used.If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.Comment

Regarding thickness. The 1" is primarily for the end caps, but I will have enough for the bulkheads too.Last edited by Titan II; 08-25-2022, 07:11 PM.Comment

Not suitable for lathe or mill work. Foamy center, hard surfaces; like hard candy with a chewy center. Also marketed as 'Sentra'.
Find a piece of 40 lbs. per cubic foot RenShape and you're golden.

This came from the actual site you posted- Keep in mind, PVC board is not particularly strong on its own, so it will need a base or support system to prevent bending or breaking.
Make it simple, make strong, make it work!Comment
