    3D printed box type WTC

Has anyone tried 3D printing a watertight container similar to those old style boxes with the bolt on lids? I know 3D prints are porous but it can be sealed with epoxy.

How about integrating the box with the hull during 3D printing? End product would similar to Engel style boat but semi-modular, instead of one big box you print separate ones for the ballast tank and command and control system with free flood area around.

Similar in concept to what Bob and Ed do with those waterproof dive boxes.

I know flat surfaces are not pressure resistant but these is for those subs on 2.4ghz that only travel at PD. Click image for larger version Name:	images (13).jpeg Views:	0 Size:	63.0 KB ID:	149460

Why? Why? Why? Why? Just buy a pre-engineered and tested enclosure and be done with it!! Sure it's possible, but why go through all the hassles of engineering, design, printing, refining, re-printing, and testing?

Just 'cause you can, doesn't mean you should.
