I'm having a miserable time trying to balance this boat. Where should the center of gravity be? The cylinder im using i believe is the 2 1/2 3 1/2 2 1/2. it is really tail heavy.

Half-way along the submarines longitudinal centerline, as low as you can get it vertically.

Once you establish underwater trim (the boat just light enough to stick one-inch of sail into the air with the boat on a zero bubble-angle) then it's a never-ending ****-show of moving selected pieces of foam above/below waterline till, magically, and to your astonishment, the boat will trim out properly in surfaced trim. Stick with it, you'll get there, pal.
