Subs with torpedoes, bouncy of sub running without torpedoes?

If running a 1/48 Type VII, with 2 firing torpedo tubes, is there a buoyancy issue when operating w/o torpedoes in the bow?

I plan on running my sub in the local pool with torpedoes so I may recover the torpedos. In the local pond, will likely not for fear of loss of a torpedo. Will running w/o torpedo's, will the bow still remain a bit buoyant?

    Thanks!

Simple, run it in the pool first without torpedoes then with torpedoes or vice-versa and observe how she behaves.
Make it simple, make strong, make it work!

If nothing else, have a piece of foam that is used only when not running with torpedoes or make blank torpedoes that you keep in there.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Ideally, your weapons are close to neutral buoyancy. If they're not, they should be.
