    That is actually cool as heck, and wouldn't be a chore to RC for practical operation, either! I doubt many would recognize it, so you'd be constantly telling people what it was...

      The initial 'flooding the hangar' scene looked wet-for-wet. The 'in motion' shots looked wet-for-dry; the fish tank between the subject and lens trick (we would later see this trick in Anderson's, SUPERCAR, UFO, and STINGRAY.

      The HYDROCYCLE would have been a more credible design had the props been pushers instead of tractors.

      That and other serials were my Saturday morning fair from day one. Buster Crabbe lived long enough to do a cameo on the awful 'modern' Buck Rogers TV show. Commando Cody was my guy -- I would watch anything the Lydecker brothers had a hand in. Republic rules!
