The gears you see were cut from a brass rod that arrived pre-cut with the 48-pitch, 11 tooth gear pattern I use as pinions in my gear reduction units. I simply bore disks cut from that rod to the required size and attach them to the 1/8" shafts you saw in the pictures.
You get those SD's from Caswell Inc. Soon ... very soon. As you can see, it's nothing to convert from single to duel-shaft arrangements in no time.

yeah doesn't seem too bad. My set up isn't quite like urs, my propellers are on the ends of the planes. so i'd have to have a rod spining perpendicular to the WTC.
So you had a brass rod with teeth precut and u just cut slices of it? I see. Where can i get a rod like that cut like that? or would i have to have a rod then get someone to machine it? -_-"Comment

The gear-rod is the way to go if you can do the shaping, drilling, taping, etc. Yourself, since it's cheaper and they can be made to suit your needs, but if not then it's better to get them already made, from someplace like Small-Parts, which has high quality parts.Last edited by toppack; 03-14-2009, 03:35 PM.Rick L.

I just figured out why David does Not have detailed Plans for his WTCs or Sub-drivers. If he did then it would be much easier for someone to COPY his creations and that would be Bad for business.
