      Snorkel Simulator

      US Naval Air Station, Patuxent River Submarine Simulator used in ASW training.

      Uses a Capture German Submarine Snorkel for the topside portion.
      Make it simple, make strong, make it work!

          Guess thats is one way to test the snorkel head Valve close actuator...lol. As Crocodile Dundee says , 'Just kids having fun'....


          I wrote initially I thought it was a paravane, looking closer at the photo, it looks like some test of some special ops water scooter? lol.

          There is a propellor (looks like 2 blades on front f lower control surfaces. The background things architecture, men's clothes, houses, cars looks like New England in early 1950's.
