From looking at the picture you posted it looks like it has its own set of bow and stern planes so that they can fly it at different depths.

I think they still dont know what ALL they were doing. A lot of people involved in these projects are gone, and they took what they knew with them to the grave.

Mark, my sources say that B 71 tested the rubin sonar and B 68 testing the Yenshin system. having said that information on these is very very sketchy.

Very close Peter. B65 Zulu 611RU. It tested the "Rubin" sonar system, later used on the Papa. and Victors. Kinda reminds me of the Yankee Big Nose.
