    It also looks like it has a rudder. Why would they need a rudder? If its towed it can only follow the submarine>??>Scuba Diving

    From looking at the picture you posted it looks like it has its own set of bow and stern planes so that they can fly it at different depths.

    Have a vague notion it is what sits under those 2 doors on the back of the Akula, but I can't be sure to that .

    Mark, my sources say that B 71 tested the rubin sonar and B 68 testing the Yenshin system. having said that information on these is very very sketchy.

    Very close Peter. B65 Zulu 611RU. It tested the "Rubin" sonar system, later used on the Papa. and Victors. Kinda reminds me of the Yankee Big Nose.
